Voir plus de détailsThe constants
of the house
Beyond the identity of each suite, there are constants — choices made once and for all, with rigour, that quietly shape the experience of every night.
An exceptional night's sleep
Queen or king beds, all convertible to twin beds on request. 200-thread-count long-fibre cotton percale sheets — a softness that deepens with each wash. Pillows with a choice of firm or soft filling, and a natural latex mattress topper for uncompromising support. Every night at the Mas is a promise kept.
Stone as identity
Veined travertine, Ardèche terracotta tiles or Egyptian stone with a golden patina — each suite has its own materials, laid in the traditional manner by local craftsmen. These floors breathe with the house: cool in summer, heat-retaining in winter. They age with a grace no standard tile will ever know.
The Massangis basin
The centrepiece of every bathroom, the basin is hand-carved from Massangis stone — an exceptional Burgundy limestone renowned for its whiteness and the fineness of its grain. Brushed brass taps, natural wood-framed mirror, 600 g/m² cotton towels: the standard of a grand hotel, in the intimacy of a family home.
Living Heritage Company
Solid oak, everywhere
45 mm solid oak doors — a thickness chosen for the density of the grain, the acoustic silence it creates and the singular warmth it lends every room. Tinted brass hardware, hand-forged ironwork. Every joinery detail is a quiet signature of the care taken over the house — one you come to recognise without ever having looked for it.
Light as material
Brass or forged bronze chandeliers, designed by a French house whose craftsmanship is recognised by the State. Each suite is lit differently — a sculptural ceiling pendant, brushed brass wall lights at the bedhead, an adjustable reading lamp for long reading nights. Dimming throughout: the light accompanies every hour, from morning to evening.
Living Heritage Company
Darkness as luxury
Bespoke blackout curtains, made in France from a thick wool fabric in muted, natural tones chosen to suit each suite. A visual silence as much as an acoustic one, for sleep fully sheltered from the first Ardèche light. Integrated thermal lining: the room stays cool in summer, warm in winter.
A place for everything
Built-in oak wardrobe or period chest of drawers depending on the suite — so that every stay, even a long one, finds its place naturally. Solid wood hangers, a discreetly recessed safe, generous luggage space so you never have to live out of a suitcase. Thoughtful storage is also a way of saying: we were expecting you.
A special
request?
Firm or soft pillow, fresh flowers on arrival, connecting suite for a family, a specific diet — nothing is too small to mention. Mas de Louise adjusts to you, not the other way around.
